GAC partners with Focus Features to screen BABIES the new documentary film

April 14, 2010: BABIES is a visually stunning and joyful film that simultaneously chronicles the lives of four babies in Mongolia, Namibia, San Francisco, and Tokyo, from first breath to first steps. Gates Foundation to go all out to reduce child deaths in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

Shakira, World Bank Launch US$300 Million Early Childhood Initiative

February 22, 2010: The "Early Childhood Initiative: An investment for life" seeks to focus cost-effective policies and resources in the region, while mobilizing public support to improve opportunities for its young citizens and thereby help overcome deep inequalities, said Zoellick during a signing ceremony of the partnership agreement between Shakira's ALAS Foundation, Columbia University's Earth Institute and the World Bank, held at the Bank's Washington D.C. headquarters.
