Read an op-ed written by George McGovern and Bob Dole, published on May 6, 2008 in the Washington Post, on the proposed funding cut to the McGovern-Dole International Food For Education and Child Nutrition Program as part of the FY09 Farm Bill.  The current version of the bill will reduce the program funding from $840 million to $60 million, creating a terrible hardship for many of the world’s poorest schoolchildren, especially in light of the current food crisis.
