Their education and wellbeing is an investment in our future.”

How you can help children in Haiti

At GAC, we’re heartbroken by the shattering earthquake in Haiti and want you to know how you can help the small country regrow for the future of its children.

Global Action for Children does not work on the ground in Haiti. But if you would like to aid the global efforts in this time of crisis, we encourage you to support our colleagues who are already working in Haiti to regrow the devastated communities: Partners in Health, US Fund for UNICEF, CARE, American Jewish World Service, Save the Children, and Doctors Without Borders.

GAC is interested in Haiti’s longterm prosperity and we will continue to promote programs that invest in the health and education of Haitian children in the future, long after the initial aftershock of the earthquake has subsided.

For years before the earthquake hit, we have been actively promoting a program that already works to provide kids in Haiti the support they need to get quality healthcare, education and protection. Haiti is one of the original countries that receives aid from the U.S. PEPFAR programs (the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief). PEPFAR supports people in places that are hit hardest by HIV/AIDS. GAC saw to it that 10 percent of this support is dedicated to orphans and vulnerable children who are affected by this ongoing disaster in Haiti and around the world.

Start little. Grow big.
